The Research Department Digital Archives contains digitized historic materials created through economic research at the Minneapolis Fed. These materials are made publically available as a part of supporting the Research Department's goal of contributing "to the advancement of research and the debate on selected public policy issues." The Working Papers collection houses the working papers written by Minneapolis Fed Research Department economists and affiliated scholars between 1963 and 2008, with the bulk of the material dating between 1970 and 1994. More recent working papers can be found at the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis website.

The Conference Proceedings collection houses papers and ephemera from ten conferences hosted by the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis Research Department between 1994 and 2003. Additional papers from other Minneapolis Reseach Department conferences can be found at the Minneapolis Fed website.

The Sargent and Sims collection is a compilation of work published by Nobel laureates Thomas Sargent and Christopher Sims during their time at the Minneapolis Fed.
